Welcome to the NEW HOME of the 557 Lorne Scots, Brampton, Ontario. The 557 Lorne Scots Army Cadets in Brampton Ontario is a free program for young men and women 12-18 providing the opportunity to test your limits through participation in challenging and exciting activities. Army Cadets is the oldest and largest youth program in Canada with a focus on outdoor adventure and activities.

New Training Location

  • Our training facility has moved! We will now parade and train out of Sir Winston Churchill Public School (89 Ardglen Drive) for the duration of the training year. Cadets are to be dropped off and picked up at this new location from now on.


  • The following teams are currently accepting new registrants for the 2013 – 2014 year: Biathlon, Marksmanship, Drill, Orienteering, Sports (Basketball & Volleyball) and the Duke of Edinburgh Program. If you are interested in signing up, please ask your Star Level Officer(s) and they will direct you to the appropriate staff member.

2013/2014 Registration Information

  • Registration is now closed as we are full. We encourage any new participants wishing to enroll to do so January 2014. The 557 Army Cadets is open to all interested youth between the ages of 12 and 18. Please attend at the Brampton Armoury (12 Chapel Street) with your child’s Health Card and Birth Certificate/Passport/Landed Immigrant Status Card. We are open on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to assist you in registering your child.
  • All parents interested in enrolling your son or daughter in cadets,please contact the Corp for  information on availability.
